These days it seems half my posts are regarding various and sundry contests going on in which I would like to see the cocktail blogosphere take part and make a respectable attempt at showing. Once again, I know I will, just hopefully with better results than I encountered with my Salon.com contest entry. From Imbibe Magazine:

Good luck indeed, and this time I’ll share my entry here after the contest. I saw some nice Bosc pears at the store today that looked interesting. Plus, I’ll ask my wife for flavor-pairing advice from a culinarian’s perspective. Cheers!
