Blu Cigs Gallery
Excellent product. Great starter kit, phenomenal flavors, good batteries, all great for the money. My only problem with the product is that the batteries begin to wear out rather quickly; in both the pack AND the cigs. However, I have heard that the premium version fixes this problem; but I won’t risk blowing 70 clams on a new starter kit after only 2-2 and a half months with the original. Overall, the kit is excellent; well worth the cash. Nice rich vapor, tasty flavors, and the most convenient charging case on the market. If you’re stuck at the shop choosing, I highly recommend this one if you’re a starter.

I have to agree with JB’s review. I used these to quit smoking for about four months and have since (sadly) gotten back on the wagon. I found that unless I was constantly charging my other battery as soon as it died, that by the time I went through a fresh battery, the old one would not hold a charge and I would have to wait hours before I had working batteries again (I received two in my starter pack). The cartridges did not last long at all, and I found that they would lose vapor and flavor after only half a day or so, meaning I burnt through the cartridges very quickly. Might be a good product for an occasional or non-smoker who isn’t using them as a crutch in order to quit, but I have tried friends’ e-cigarettes since (Greensmoke was my favorite so far), and found I liked them better – more vapor, stronger sense of actually smoking than Blu.
The most positive thing I can say about them is that the flavors are really great, especially the coffee and vanilla. Even the cherry flavor, which I expected to be horrible, was pretty great.
I’ve tried several different brands and I really wish I could say Blu is the best. As far as taste goes, Cherry Crush is my favorite flavor of any e-cig I’ve ever had, no contest. The problems with Blu are many.
1) Short battery life. If you are going out for the day, you will need to take 4 batteries to possibly make it through. The pack re-charges one at a time and can only car two. This means you will have 2 in your pocket dying away as you walk around. Battery is so sensitive that if you touch it, it will turn on. Imagine how fast it wastes away in your pocket!
2)Batteries are VERY low quality. I’ve been through almost a dozen in a exactly a year. You read that correctly. These things have a lifetime of roughly 2-3 months and are done. At $12.95 to replace, you do the math to figure out how much you are saving.
3)Cartridges don’t last long. I go through a pack of 5 in 3 days.
I wish I could stick with this brand but the problems are so abundant, I can’t justify it. I’ve spent more money on these than I ever should have to and I didn’t switch to Blu b/c of money, it was my health. But it’s become so irritating and expensive I’m forced to switch brands. Be warned.
