When I was deciding what to try for my first electronic cigarette the natural question was which brand do I buy? There are several options such as the larger battery model, the regular sized two-piece, or the regular two or three piece model, all in various brands.
Even though you may find many different brands to choose from, these are the basic models that are available. Knowing this, it is important to note that choosing which electronic cigarette matters as much as the options that go with it.
As many people probably know, an electronic cigarette comes with a battery charger, the cartridge, the atomizer and the e-liquid which provides you with the dose of nicotine you select.
As electronic cigarettes become more popular it seems to me that people are having more and more choices. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to discover that I now have the choice to use a non-nicotine e-liquid for my electronic cigarette.
This e-liquid works just the same with the electronic cigarette as the one with nicotine and produces the same vapor affect, but it’s nicotine free enabling me to really enjoy my electronic cigarette as I choose.
Now I can enjoy it with flavor. The non-nicotine, e-liquid now comes in flavors of tobacco, menthol, coffee, peach, and cherry flavor.
Even though I found that electronic cigarettes have worked well for me and others, there are also people who are put off by the price. Whether or not electronic cigarettes are an alternative for you as far as the cost factor is concerned really depends on how much you smoke.
For those who smoke a pack a day, or maybe by two or three packs a week, then the cost factor could really save them some money. In some areas cigarettes cost up to $10 a pack. If you are smoking three packs a week, that’s $120 a month just on cigarettes.
Given that electronic cigarettes can cost you anywhere from $40-$90 a month, then this is a substantial savings. However, if you’re an infrequent smoker who only smokes a pack every week or month, then electronic cigarettes may not be a good financial move for you.

There are certainly a lot of brands out there to choose from and it seems to be growing exponentially. One tip I would provide when a person new to e-cigarettes jumps in is to KISS (keep it simple). Start off with a two piece set (battery & cartomizer for example) and find what they like then move on to more complicated set ups. Also, I’d suggest getting extra batteries when finally jumping in. There’s nothing worse than having a batteries charge die down and not having a back up ready to go. I have three I cycle through and at least one is always plugged in.
I have to agree with you that the potential for savings is pretty nice. I like the Greensmoke you have in the picture too, it’s a nice little unit.
