80 100 1

While I’m not a huge fan of tank systems in general, I’ve heard a lot of people raving about the iGo3 and iGo4. So I decided to do a little research and check out these two e-cigs for myself. I was actually really surprised by how much I liked them.

iGo3

The iGo3 is the older model, but it was still really impressive. The kit was packaged nicely and I thought it had really solid vapor production. The tank was easy to fill too which is a huge plus for people like me who just don’t like fooling around with e-liquid and won’t be caught dead with a syringe. You can get two basic iGo3 kits.

The regular iGo3 kit is $75.00 and it includes two high capacity smart batteries, 2 clearomizers, a USB/wall charger with touch charging base, and two bottles of e-liquid (10ml each). This is the kit I tried and I think it’s a really good value for the price. If you don’t want to spend that much money, go with the iGo3 Express Kit for $49.95. It’s basically the same but only included one battery, one clearomizer, and one bottle of e-liquid, as well as the charger.

You can customize both kits by choosing your battery color (black or steel) and your clearomizer color (clear, black, blue, green, red, yellow, or purple). E-liquids come in 40 different flavors and nicotine strength ranges from 0-36mg. We’ll talk more about the e-liquid a little later though.

The best thing about the iGo3 was the “smart” battery. It lights up in three colors to show you how much battery charge is left. When it’s full, the light is green. When you have 50-100 puffs left, the light changes to orange. When you have less than 50 puffs to go, it turns red. The battery will last for 800 puffs total.

The iGo3 charger is also really unique. You plug it in and then basically, it acts like a charging dock for your e-cig. All you have to do is sit your iGo3 down on the charger and it will automatically recharge the battery. You don’t even have to take the iGo3 apart! It uses “touch” technology. That was so impressive. I wish other brands would come up with something similar!

Overall, the iGo3 was about what I expected in terms of everyday use. The vapor was good, but just typical for an ego system. There was nothing really surprising about it. However, it’s affordable so if you want an ego system without paying a fortune the iGo3 is a cool option.

iGo4

The iGo4 is a little different than the iGo3. It has a bigger battery, bigger tank, and a whole lot more power! This thing was the mother load when it came to vapor, battery life, and overall experience. In short… I loved it.

Just like the iGo3, you can get an Express Kit ($54.95) or a regular iGo4 kit ($85.00). My personal suggestion would be bigger iGo4 kit. You get a lot of products for a reasonable price, so I figure you might as well spring for the extra thirty bucks! The express kit comes with 1 high capacity smart battery, 1 clearomizer, a touch charging base, and 1 bottle of e-liquid. The regular kit has two batteries, two clearomizers, a charger, and two bottles of e-liquid. So you’re basically getting double the products.

I really liked the iGo4’s bigger tank. Whiel the old iGo3 tank was 1.6ml, you have the option of a bigger 2.5ml tank on the new iGo4. I also like the higher capacity batteries that last 1000 puffs instead of 800. There is also a new LED display on the iGo4 that shows specifically how many puffs you have remaining before you’ve got to stop and put it on the charging base.

The iGo4 was easy to refill. It took about 5 seconds to reload it with my e-liquid and I was all set to continue vaping. Speaking of e-liquid, I am a big fan of the iGo e-liquid options. If I’m going to take time to actually deal with e-liquid, it’s go to be really amazing and this time, I was disappointed. There were 9 tobacco flavors including my favorite, the Desert Ship that is supposed to be similar to Camel cigarettes (it is!). There are also 3 menthol flavors and 9 fruit flavors: cherry, strawberry, apple, blueberry, kiwi, melon, orange, grape, and watermelon.

I loved that they offered about 20 different unique flavors. Just read the list and I bet you will want to order some e-liquid! They have chocolate raspberry, caramel mocha, chocolate banana, apple cinnamon cranberry, Cappuccino, Cherry Cola, Champagne, Root Beer Float, Pina Colada, lemonade, Red Bull, Green Dew, Chocolate, Vanilla, Cotton Candy, Pancake, Pumpkin Pie, and Hazelnut.

Pumpkin pie e-liquid? You had me at hello.

At the end of the day, the iGo3 and iGo4 are both good products, but the iGo4 was my favorite. It has the biggest batteries, biggest vapor, and best throat hit of any ego product I’ve sampled yet. While I’m not usually a big fan of e-liquid systems, I really did enjoy using the iGo4 and will likely continue to use it pretty often.

Katie actually had a negative first experience of electronic cigarettes, picking up a cheap and horrible model from my local mall. Thanks to a chance meeting with co-editor David, she hasn’t had a tobacco cigarette in over 5 years. She brings a strong female voice to the e-cig community.

    Overall:

I recently purchased the iGo 4 starter kit and am so happy with it! I love the design of it and the charging station is awesome! The other thing I love about this that other e-cig brands don’t have is the counter on the unit, so you can track how many puffs are actually in the clearomizer. Pretty cool, because I never really know if there are truly as many puffs as what other companies advertise…but not this one!
