Nutricigs Disposable Review Nutricigs Disposable Review

NutriCigs represent an entirely new approach to electronic cigarettes, and CocktailNerd was given the chance to be the first team to review them. While NutriCigs still contain 1.8% nicotine and resemble traditional cigarettes, they are also fortified with ingredients to help promote wellness. NutriCigs are available in various flavors and can help you eat less*, get a good night’s rest*, and feel energized*. These are disposable electronic cigarettes, which means no hassle with recharging or refilling.

While most disposable electronic cigarettes you will find in a gas station provide very little information about the product or how to use it, NutriCig goes above and beyond with their packaging. There is no need for pamphlets or inserts because the plastic outer case contains all of the information you will need. The color coded packages clearly define the flavor and benefit of the NutriCig on the front. The sides of the package promote sales to customers over the age of 18 and mention the all-natural American-made ingredients. Flip it over and the back of the package clearly describe how to use your NutriCig, active ingredients and important information.

Pop open the package, pull off the rubber cap and you’re ready to go. The NutriCig is an attractive ecig. It isn’t as cumbersome as most other disposables and is surprisingly light in your hand. The look of the tan filter resembles traditional cigarettes. A small colored band indicates the flavor and the category (Energy, Sleep or Slim) is shown above the NutriCig logo. You’ll notice a small inlet hole on the side which allows air to flow through the cartridge; it’s important to not cover this hole when you use it.

The first NutriCigs we tried were the Pure Energy! variety in cherry and tobacco flavors. Our team was enticed by both flavors. Each was true to its description and we enjoyed the subtly of both flavors. The Tobacco flavor is one of the best we’ve had in a disposable and the cherry is very pleasant and not overly sweet or the typical “medicine” flavor found in so many other cherry-flavored e-cigs. Both Pure Energy! flavors gave a smooth throat hit and a lot of vapor. We would gladly use either flavor but we give the preferred edge to cherry. The Pure Energy! NutriCigs are fortified with B2, B3, B6 & B12 vitamins as well as synephrine, glucuronolactone and caffeine to help you feel energized*. Most of the CocktailNerd drinks caffeine regularly, yet we all felt a slight increase in energy after using these e-cigs. Katie rarely drinks caffeine and seemed to feel the positive affects the most.

Next on deck were the menthol flavored Slim NutriCigs. Containing EtOH, peppermint and hoodia which are all natural appetite suppressants*. Once again, the menthol was an excitingly realistic and smooth flavor. Lorna purposefully skipped lunch yesterday to see what affect NutriCigs Slims would have on her appetite. It suppressed her appetite enough that she decided to opt for a light snack rather than a full lunch. We do our best to try out e-cig products for a while before making long-standing claims but our first experience has been promising.

The last type of NutriCig we tried out was the chocolate flavored Sleep NutriCig. Each of our team members took one home to puff on before we went to bed. We all agreed that chocolate was our least favorite flavor. This wasn’t necessarily because it tasted bad; we just felt it didn’t have much of a chocolate taste. While there’s a hint of chocolate, some of us felt it had more of a coffee taste. We also agreed that there is another odd flavor that we can’t quite figure out. The Sleep version of NutriCigs contains typtophan, tyrosine, melatonin and GABA and was created to support a restful sleep*. David didn’t feel the effects as much as Katie and Lorna, but he usually falls asleep easily on his own. Both Lorna and Katie mentioned they felt more calm and at ease before falling asleep.

The commonality we found among each of the NutriCigs is that they are very subtle and easy on the throat. Each version created nearly the exact same amount of vapor and we like the way they look. While the chocolate wasn’t our favorite, each flavor is exceptional especially for disposables. We were very skeptical about the effectiveness of NutriCigs, but after preliminary testing, we are impressed and excited about their potential. We will continue to use these and will update our readers with additional thoughts after further results.

Katie Bercham - CocktailNerd Editor

Katie actually had a negative first experience of electronic cigarettes, picking up a cheap and horrible model from my local mall. Thanks to a chance meeting with co-editor David, she hasn’t had a tobacco cigarette in over 5 years. She brings a strong female voice to the e-cig community.
