The V2 Pro Series 7 is one of our favorite vaporizers on the market. It fits in multiple categories but is in a league of its own. You could call it a vape pen or a vaporizer, but its closest competitor is the Pax line, and that doesn’t even come close to being comparable in our opinion. It is a 3-in-1 vaporizer that handles e-liquid, dry herbs, and wax/concentrates all in the same device. If you are looking for the ultimate in flexibility while maintaining a reasonable cost, then look no further.

The V2 Pro Series 7 has been on the market since 2015 and is in production from V2 Cigs, a division of VMR. It has dimensions of 5.1 x 1.2 x 0.9 inches making it portable enough to put in your pocket or purse and take it with you anywhere. The ergonomics allow it to fit your hand perfectly and the firing button is about 1/3 of the way down from the top, which is the perfect position when holding it. The device comes in black only, but it looks great.

Inside the box, you receive one vaporizer, one magnetic USB charging cord, one wall adapter, one e-liquid cartridge, one loose-leaf cartridge, and the pick & brush cleaning tools for basic maintenance. While it doesn’t come with the wax/concentrate cartridge, you can get that separately. The MSRP of the V2 Pro Series 7 is $149.99, but it is currently selling for just $129.99. If you were to purchase devices to handle e-liquid and loose-leaf materials, you would spend well over $200. Price and contents included are a huge plus for this device before we even get into the use of it.

When you take it out of the box, it will have some charge already on it. We do recommend that you fully charge your V2 Pro Series 7 Vaporizer before the first use though. Magnetic connection charges this vape. Simply hold the charging end near the bottom of the device, and it will snap right on. It also easily snaps off with a quick tug on the cord. That is great because you won’t have to worry about damaging threading by accident or wear over time. You’ll notice a light at the bottom of the device that will indicate the color green when the charge is complete.

Once you have the Series 7 charged and ready to go, you can move on to the cartridges. First, we’ll cover if you are using it as a vaping device for liquids. You have two options here, fill the cartridge with e-liquid or get the adapter to use the new V2 Pro Pods. The pods are pre-filled cartridges that you can just drop in without having to hassle with liquid bottles yourself. If you want to use liquids and get more flexibility in flavor options, then you simply fill the cartridge up to the fill line. Either way, the cartridge when full will drop into the top of the vaporizer body and snap in via magnetic connection. The Series 7 will recognize which cartridge is in and switch to that mode automatically.

V2 Pro Pods Liquid

To start vaping, you just need to hold the button while you draw and let go when done. You can adjust the voltage/wattage settings as well if you want it to be stronger or easier on your throat. The puffs are great from first to last. We were able to get a sizeable amount of vapor each time. The throat hit when maxed out if very strong and should be able to suit any vaper out there. You can also lower the power enough that if you want it to be easy on your throat, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. Now if you are using liquids instead of the V2 Pro Pods, you need to keep in mind that there are cartridges designed for PG liquids and VG liquids. Make sure you are using the right cartridge based on the liquid you are using.

The next cartridge to try is the dry herb or loose leaf cartridge. That is for use with marijuana, but you could use it with other dry herb products. With this one, it is essential that you grind up the buds that are going into a smooth consistency. Once you’ve done that, you can loosely fill the cartridge to the top (or put as little as you want in). Then drop the cartridge in, and the Series 7 will recognize which cartridge it is and switch the mode to conduction heating automatically. You can adjust the power settings in this mode as well to meet the temperature you want. We recommend you start with the middle and adjust from there. The high mode can be a bit harsh but is also great if you pack the bowl too tight.

Once you have the heat setting you want, hold the power button down until the light ring on the bottom comes on. It will illuminate in red at first, then yellow, then green. Once it reaches green, it is ready for you to begin vaping. Just keep drawing on it, and you’ll get rich vapor draw after draw. The Series 7 has a 2-minute power cycle where it will automatically shut off. While that 2 minutes should be enough to get you what you need, you can always run it through another power cycle by holding the power button down again until the ring lights up on the bottom.

V2 Pro Series 7

A secret bit of advice to those using marijuana (legally in their state) is that you can keep the material that has been vaped already and use it in other recipes. You could even eat it straight from the vaporizer, but that would taste terrible in our opinion. The fact that you vaped it already converts the THCA into THC so you can mix it in. That is a whole different ride than vaping or smoking it though, so proceed with caution as effects can last much longer and be more intense.

The last cartridge to try out of the wax/concentrates one. This one looks like it won’t hold much compared to the others, but the punch it packs is insane. As many of you who have used wax or concentrates know, a little goes a long way. You just put some in with the pick and close it up. Then drop it in the body of the cartridge, and you’re ready to go. The V2 Pro Series 7 knows which cartridge is in and changes the settings accordingly. In this mode, you can also adjust the temperature. Here we recommend starting with the lowest setting and working your way up as it can get harsh, really fast. You use this mode similar to vaping e-liquid where you hold the power button while inhaling and let go when done with the drag. That will blow your mind using it. The effect is very similar to dabs with a torch, and yet it wastes so much less product. It starts to pay for itself quickly.

No matter which mode you use, even if it’s one, two, or all three – you can find great value in this vaporizer. It excels at every mode and gives you the flexibility to use it for other methods later on even though you might not be using them now. The smart cartridge technology is amazing, and the fact that all the product is inside of the cartridges only makes it a zero maintenance device. You can even take out the cartridge and travel with the body and a new cartridge because no product will have gone through the device itself, unlike the Pax.

Overall we would say the V2 Pro Series 7 is our favorite device on the market. While the V2 Pro Series 7X is coming, it will cost more and isn’t out yet. If you want something amazing today, you should go with the V2 Pro Series 7. It will take your vaping game to the next level and impress your friends who vape and smoke.
