UK e-cig company, JAC Vapour, is taking a completely unique approach to electronic cigarette technology. In an effort to stop complaints about secondhand vapor exposure, the company is now offering a line of invisible vapor e-liquid. The “Clear Steam” technology provides the same throat hit and flavor as regular e-liquid, but there is no visible vapor when you exhale so it is fully discreet for vaping in places where you might garner some negative attention.
If you have ever used an e-cig in public, you probably know that you can sometimes get hateful looks or even offhanded comments from people that cannot tell the difference between vaping and smoking. The invisible vapor would eliminate this problem by allowing you to vape without anyone noticing a big cloud of vapor hanging in the air when you exhale. You can see the new Clear Steam e-liquids in action by watching this video.
JAC Vapor described the new product as a good solution for times when you need to vape is a discreet way:
“The idea behind this is to provide a product for situations when blowing billowing vapor clouds might not be appropriate, for instance at work, out at night or maybe while traveling. Although using normal eliquid poses no risk in a second hand capacity, many people do not know this, and removing the visual aspect of vaping in certain situations, either because you wish to be discreet, or out of respect for how others may perceive it can be desirable. This eliquid allows you to do just that without sacrificing the throat hit or flavor.”
This is definitely a first for the e-cig market where bigger vapor has always been better. However, it has the potential to be a great solution for public ecig use as many places are no longer allowing vaping indoors. Critics might assume that vaping without vapor could be pointless, but the same was once said about e-liquids with no nicotine. However, the zero nicotine movement has steadily grown with smokers enjoying the option to gradually decrease nicotine concentration until they are nicotine-free.
The new Clear Steam e-liquids provide an opportunity to sidestep a lot of unnecessary explanations about your vaping habit. There is such a negative stigma around cigarettes that many people will jump to conclusion that vaping is equally as dangerous. Until people learn the details of vaping technology, the natural expectation is that the vapor presents a threat.
The only possible downside to this new technology is that it makes secret vaping possible for teenagers. As parents work to keep e-cigs out of the hands of curious young people, the potential for kids to use invisible e-liquid could cause some concerns. If a teenager is vaping with Clear Steam in their bedroom, there is no smell and no visible vapor to give it away if mom walks in.
All things considered, this new technology definitely has a place in today’s market. Do you plan to try the invisible e-liquid?
